Location: Norfolk
We are working with a bespoke engineering company that is leading the way in the construction industry. They have asked us to invite applications for the role of Document Controller.
Job Responsibilities
1. Responsible to setup the EDMS and CDE system in the project.
2. Correctly setup digitised forms, workflows, and submittal processes embracing the project CDE.
3. Comply with project requirements and ISO19650 requirements when applicable to the project.
4. Prepare projects or the organisational Document Control procedures and deliver training.
5. Responsible for controlling the numbering, filing, sorting, and retrieval of electronically stored or hard copy documentation produced by technical teams in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
6. Provide EDMS support for projects and departments.
7. Conduct QA document checking.
8. Manage the administration of EDMS (Workflows, access rights, distributions, etc.).
9. Assist in preparing and managing documentation internally/by subcontractor.
Experience
1. Substantial experience in Document Control duties.
2. Experience in multiple handovers and design submissions successfully.
3. Experience of managing, mentoring, or supporting the development of one or more document controllers (or similar role).
4. Understanding of ISO19650.
Knowledge/Ability
1. Advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and PDF professional.
2. Ability to use Asite, Dalux, ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, and/or other project-required systems, along with good knowledge of SharePoint and overall MS Office applications: MS Forms, Power Automate, etc.
3. Ability to manage time and multiple tasks, prioritising correctly.
4. Ability to spot errors in documents, such as formatting errors, typos, or similar.
