Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Manager based in Salford. The role requires a hands-on professional with experience in the construction industry, who is comfortable working both in the office and on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure full SHEQ compliance through audits, inspections, and regular reporting to senior management
2. Manage and maintain SHEQ Accreditation's (CHAS, ConstructionLine, SMAS)
3. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions
4. Develop and maintain Health & Safety plans, RAMS, and environmental strategies in collaboration with Contracts Managers
5. Oversee staff training, compliance, and certification requirements
6. Maintain PPE records for all operatives
7. Manage the training and qualification matrix
8. Attend client meetings and tender site visits to ensure compliance with client safety standards
