Overview of the role
We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in Birstall in Wakefield.
This community pharmacy is commutable from Leeds and Wakefield and Bradford and is located near Birstall High Street. It has a great relationship with the Blackburn Road Medical centre GP.
How our pharmacy makes a difference:
* It dispenses 2500 items a week,
* It provides a wide range of services including Pharmacy First, Contraception, NMS Flu and Covid vaccines).
* It provides services to substance misuse patients and care homes and Community MDS.
This pharmacy is open 8am - 6.30pm until Monday- Friday and 9am -12 noon on Saturday. The dynamic team at this pharmacy is comprised of 5 pharmacy assistants and an ACT and Team Leader.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is desired but not essential. You will be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

You’ll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits
We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.
We are focused on mental health and wellbeing which is why we’ve put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.
