Job Title: Carbon Literacy Trainer
Location: London (Hybrid – Online and On-Site Delivery)
Job Type: Part-time
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and knowledgeable Carbon Literacy Trainer to join our training team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, certified Carbon Literacy training sessions in London and the South and online to a wide range of audiences, including public sector teams, corporate clients, educational institutions, and community groups. This role plays a key part in equipping individuals and organisations with the knowledge and motivation needed to take meaningful climate action.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, adapt, and deliver Carbon Literacy training tailored to different audiences
• Facilitate interactive workshops (in-person and online)
• Support learners through the Carbon Literacy certification process
• Evaluate training effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement
• Stay up to date with the latest climate science, UK policy, and sustainability best practices
• Support the development of training materials and resources
• Represent the organisation at events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings
• Certified Carbon Literacy Trainer or experienced Facilitator with a strong willingness to become certified upon hiring
• Strong understanding of climate change science, impacts, and solutions
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Experience delivering training to diverse groups
• Confident in using digital tools such as Zoom, Teams, and presentation platforms
• Ability to tailor messaging for different audiences (corporate, local government, education, etc.)
• Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Experience working within sustainability, environmental education, or behaviour change
• Familiarity with UK carbon reduction strategies, net-zero policies, and ESG frameworks
• Understanding of inclusive approaches to climate justice and engagement
