Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your driving expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Supervisor and work alongside a close-knit team of dedicated professionals who support the V-Line operation in West Melbourne. You'll play a critical role performing dewatering toilets at Southern Cross Station and driving the service truck. You will also regularly liaise with key stakeholders. This role will be permanent shift work on a rotating roster with occasional weekend and public holiday work.
We’ll look to you for :
* Interior / exterior cleaning and being responsible for the general housekeeping of the work environment, for example :
* Window cleaning
* Steam cleaning carpet and upholstery
* Emptying rubbish bins
* Toilet cleaning
* Dewatering toilets at Southern Cross Station (SCS), including :
* Driving the unit truck around SCS
* Toilet cleaning, and clearing toilet faults
* Operation of West Melbourne Train Wash
* Ability to operate and drive the Service Unit Truck, including :
* Cleaning equipment such as steam and vacuum cleaners
* Ability to produce results to a high standard, follow instructions, and be prepared to undertake other duties when required
* Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimum supervision
* Willingness to undertake further training to achieve additional qualifications where required and be prepared to hold a forklift or other permit if and when necessary
