We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join the College’s Estates Team.
As part of the Estates team, you will report to the College’s Site Manager and contribute towards providing a well-maintained, safe, clean and secure environment for staff, students and visitors.
Previous experience in a similar role and/or environment is required, though training will be given. More important is a flexible and responsive approach which is a key requirement for this kind of varied and practical role.
You will need to have the basic technical skills to be able to carry out minor repairs and maintenance, along with the willingness and ability to carry out a variety of manual tasks.
A commitment to team work is important, combined with the ability to work pro-actively and effectively without supervision.
This contract is on a part time but permanent basis, for 18 hours per week, working full year and commencing as soon as the successful candidate is available following recruitment and safeguarding checks.
Core working hours will be 07.30am to 2.00pm Monday and Tuesday, and 07.30am to 2.00pm / 1.00pm to 7.30pm on alternating Wednesdays.
The successful candidate will be appointed to scale point 5 of the College’s Support Staff pay spine, currently £22,736 p.a. for full-time. Actual salary will be prorated to contracted hours (e.g., £11,061 p.a. for 18 hrs per week).
