Business Analyst – Tekever Defence

The Business Analyst is a new position within the recently created Tekever Defence Business Unit.
Tekever Defence is responsible for the development and delivery of Tekever’s capability offering to the Defence market. The Tekever Defence Business Unit is split into six main departments – Engineering, Capability, Futures, Operations, Delivery and Business Development & Strategy.
The Business Analyst is a strategic support role within the growing Tekever Defence Business Unit, responsible for supporting across the BU.
You will be based in Bath with an expectation of at least 3 days a week office working. You may also be required to travel to other locations in the UK, Portugal and Europe in line with business needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Internal business analysis, to include financial and data analysis, and providing support to forecasting and strategic planning.
* Market analysis, identifying trends and opportunities, synthesised to create valuable insights.
* Analysing internal business processes, identifying opportunities, and generating suitable process improvements.
* Supporting the Defence Business Unit with change initiatives.
Essential Competencies:
* Ability to conduct comprehensive and accurate research, using judgement to verify credible sources, and synthesise meaningful insight to inform business decision making.
* Proactive team-player able to independently identify opportunities to support the Defence Business Unit leadership without explicit direction.
* Excellent data analysis and data modelling skills, identifying critical insights, and synthesising meaningful recommendations.
* Flexibility to support a variety of the Defence leadership team across extremely varied projects and initiatives.
* Prioritisation and time-management skills: In an exciting fast-paced environment, the ability to independently prioritise and manage timely delivery of analysis is critical.
* Aptitude for aviation and engineering – The analysis work will frequently centre around UAVs and associated systems. Direct experience UAV/aviation is not essential, but technical aptitude is essential to ensure research and analysis is appropriately conducted, and subsequent recommendations are fit for purpose.
* Must be eligible to gain UK Security Check (SC) clearance – Tekever can support with this process.

This role will be based in Bath.

Salary range: £35,000 – £45,000 (DOE) + bonus & benefits including private medical insurance.
