What you'll do
Our community care assistants are remarkable individuals who perform everyday tasks that hold significant value to our clients. By aiding them in living safer and more supported lives within the comfort of their own homes, you will adhere to personalised care plans.
Key responsibilities may include:
Personal Care:
Assist clients with daily personal hygiene routines, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral care.
Help clients with toileting, continence care, and incontinence management.
Assist with mobility, including helping clients move around their home, using mobility aids, and transferring from bed to chair.
Health Monitoring:
Assist clients with medication management, ensuring they take their prescribed medications on time.
Observe and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
Daily Living Assistance:
Assist with feeding if clients are unable to feed themselves.
Companionship and Emotional Support:
Provide companionship and social interaction to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
Engage clients in conversation and recreational activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Care Plan Implementation:
Follow individual care plans tailored to each client's specific needs and preferences.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure the clients' home environment is safe and hazard-free.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and infection control protocols.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to protect both clients and themselves.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including any changes in clients' condition or behaviour.
Report any concerns or incidents to supervisors promptly.

What you'll need
