We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Intellectual Disability Nurse to our Multi-disciplinary Inpatient Team at Midpark Hospital which is located in the town of Dumfries. Midpark is the region’s Acute Mental Health Hospital.
We provide quality healthcare within the inpatient environment for up to 81 patients; across 6 wards, including Adult, Older Adult, IPCU; Dementia; and Rehabilitation Services.
The main purpose of the role will be to support the clinical teams within the integrated model to deliver evidence based best practice which is person centred to individuals who require inpatient care and treatment. This post is integral to our service delivery and to the wider team members; in addition to providing a supporting role to the Charge Nurse, ensuring safe and effective clinical practice is delivered at all times.
The post holder will be expected to participate in escort on call duties, and includes shift and weekend working.
