Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for managing and growing sales within a defined territory, focusing on both stock and residential new-build systems to the electrical wholesale trade: DT, BH, SO, PO, SP, BA, SN, RG, BS, TA, EX, PL, TQ, TR.
This position requires a minimum of three years of sales experience within the manufacturing/wholesale channel, strong organizational skills, and a proven track record of growing a territory and delivering consistent results.
Key Responsibilities:
Territory Management & Growth:
* Strategically manage the defined territory to maximize sales opportunities and achieve revenue goals.
* Develop and execute plans to grow sales of ventilation systems and electrical products within the electrical wholesale market.
* Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
* Sell high-quality stock products to electrical wholesalers, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell.
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with wholesalers and developers to drive repeat business.
Technical Expertise & Consultation:
* Advise customers on the technical specifications and practical installation of ventilation systems.
* Provide solutions to ventilation enquiries, ensuring compliance with building regulations.
* Deliver product demonstrations and training sessions to wholesalers and their teams.
Organisational Excellence:
* Maintain an organized approach to managing the territory, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
* Keep accurate records of sales activities and territory performance in CRM software.
* Regularly update forecasts and pipeline information for senior management.
* Work closely with internal teams to deliver seamless customer service.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a sales role within the manufacturing/wholesale channel.
* Product Knowledge: Familiarity with ventilation systems and electrical products is preferable.
* Sales Acumen: Proven ability to grow revenue and expand existing relationships.
* Technical Skills: Ability to understand and explain technical specifications.
* Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
* Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Technical Proficiency: Competence in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
