Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Regional Marketing Communications Manager to join our team and drive our marketing and business development efforts in the UK. As the Regional Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to promote our products/services and drive business growth. Your role will play a crucial part in shaping the success of our regional marketing initiatives.
Business Overview:
Lucy Electric is an international leader in intelligent secondary power distribution products and solutions, with features such as remote operation and monitoring. Linking energy generation to consumption, the business specializes in high-performance medium and low-voltage switchgear for utility, industrial and commercial applications.
Job Dimensions:
Working under our global marketing plan, as Regional Marketing Manager you will work closely with Regional General Manager, Regional Sales Teams, and other functions with functional reporting lines to Regional General Manager and dotted line into Head of Central Marketing Communications. The role will be based in our Regional Headquarters office in Thame (UK) and will require local travel.
Key Accountabilities:
Event Management
1. Plan, coordinate and execute regional events including tradeshows, conferences, webinars, roadshows, tech days, local site events and others. Work closely with Central Marketing organization to ensure established event standards are met.
2. Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination and on-site execution.
3. Develop pre and post-event communication strategies to maximize engagement and follow-up opportunities.
4. Establish clear KPIs and own their tracking and reporting.
UK Internal Communications
1. Develop and manage internal communication strategies to keep the regional organization informed and aligned with company goals.
2. Create and distribute newsletters, internal memos and other communication materials to ensure consistency and transparency across the region.
3. Organize and run internal events such as town halls and site events.
Product launches/updates, customer communications and sales tools
1. Product launch/update planning and execution within the region whilst working closely with Central and regional Marketing communications, Regional Sales and Central Product Management.
2. Own Regional customer journey mapping identifying key engagement points and ensuring we serve our customers well by providing expected information in easy-to-use formats which drive positive customer engagement and conversion.
3. Collaborate with the local sales team to tailor presentations, sales collateral and tools, and digital content to the regional requirements.
4. Ensure any local initiatives are logged and tracked using the CRM system.
5. Identify the most effective GTM strategies for countries within the region.
6. Execute region-specific marketing campaigns targeting different vertical audiences through various channels, including email, content marketing and paid advertising.
7. Work closely with the sales team to develop and distribute sales collateral, case studies, white papers and other content to support the sales process.
8. Monitor closely regional campaign performance and provide regular reports to stakeholders, including insights and recommendations for optimization.
Planning & Budget Management
1. Develop and manage the regional marketing strategy and budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support B2B marketing objectives.
2. Track expenses related to events, campaigns, and other marketing activities to ensure they stay within the budget.
3. Conduct regional market research to understand industry trends, customer needs and competitive positioning from branding and marketing perspectives.
Relationship Management and Collaboration:
1. Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including regional sales teams, distributors, partners, and industry influencers.
2. Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing activities with sales objectives and support lead generation and conversion efforts.
3. Liaise with central marketing and other regional marketing teams to share best practices, leverage global marketing assets, and contribute to global marketing initiatives.
Special projects
1. Where required provide support for the new central initiatives of new product, market or geographic location entries.
2. Work closely with Central Product Management, Marketing Communications, and sales teams to establish deliverables by Marketing Communications Support.
3. Develop required collateral and tools and support event execution.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. Proven experience in B2B Regional Marketing role, preferably in a multinational or regional company.
3. Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns.
Key Experiences:
1. Prior experience in event management.
2. Experience in managing internal communications within a large matrixed organization.
3. Skilled in customer/key stakeholder journey mapping to improve customer engagement, satisfaction, and conversion.
4. Ability to engage, take direction and influence internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
