First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Technical Sales Advisor on a permanent basis due to growth.
This particular role is aimed at the company’s technical sales elements – The controls and system design and the product technical design, supporting suppliers, staff and customers with technical information, analysing faults, producing solutions and managing customer’s expectations.
You will also have a sales role, selling our products and services to the people you meet.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for technical advancement for products, systems and controls.
2. Planning to ensure you achieve your technical goals.
3. Cost effective in technical analysis.
4. Research, analyse and monitor technological and demographic factors in order to capitalise on new technologies.
5. Work effectively with suppliers, customers and your peers.
6. Ensure you are marketing the company correctly from a technical perspective.
7. Evaluate market research to meet the changing market and competitive conditions.
8. Provide expert guidance on lighting technology.
9. Provide a technical professional point of contact for architects, builders, electricians, designers, etc. To discuss designs, technical elements and options to resolve any design challenges.
10. Maintain effective and accurate project files for each new project including design fees agreed, service levels required and discounts negotiated, etc.
11. Visiting lighting shows to keep up to date with design innovations and ideas.
12. Visiting suppliers to ensure they adhere to our policies.
13. Maintain good housekeeping.
14. Health and Safety.
Skills and Qualifications:
15. Be able to visualize a space from a drawing.
16. Able to present design concepts to clients enabling them to fully understand the basis of recommendations made.
17. A good communicator able to present confidently and clearly.
18. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to negotiate, price, product suitability and quality, etc.
19. Effectively manage customer expectations.
20. Effective problem solving skills.
21. Training skills.
22. Project management skills.
23. Innovative lighting design skills.
24. Understand technical lighting considerations.
25. Microsoft Office Package including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
26. Ideally having experience using Relux and AutoCAD / Revit

Location: Shipston on Stour
Salary: £25,000 – £45,000 DOE
Working Hours: 9 til 5 Monday to Friday but flexibility is required due to the nature of the role
