Our Optical Managers are vital to our success, ensuring the team delivers high-quality patient service. You will oversee and manage the entire operation, including managing your team of Optometrists and Optical Assistants, overseeing compliance, reviewing sales forecasts, and handling customer queries. Every day is busy and fast-paced in an Asda Opticians.
You will also manage clinic operations and the shop floor to ensure the department meets customer needs. Working closely with an Optometrist, you will coach and develop your team, so confidence in coaching is essential. Due to the role's fast-paced nature and diverse responsibilities, strong organization and time management skills are required.
You will be:
* A fully qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the GOC
* On track to meet the statutory CPD points requirement
* Confident in coaching others
* Able to provide excellent customer and patient care
* Driven and ambitious to meet department targets
* Possessing proven leadership skills in a fast-paced optics environment
* Organized and effective in time management
When applying for any Optical position, you must be registered with the General Optical Council (GOC) for the relevant professional role. You will also need to provide evidence of Right to Work in the UK.
As part of the compliance process, you will be asked to provide evidence of being on the NHS performer list or, in Scotland, the relevant Health Board, along with two clinical references. For Wales, evidence of WECS accreditation and WGOS module accreditation will be required.
