As a business analyst on StarCompliance’s product team, you’ll be responsible for reviewing inquiries, conducting investigations, performing prioritization and triage, and bringing issues and cases to resolution. This role plays a key part in optimizing our problem-solving approach and improving our product designs. The business analyst also has exposure to requirements gathering, user stories and workflow creation, and client suggestion review. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the product management team function and grow.
The business analyst will work with the product manager, product owner, scrum master, engineering teams, and customer success across multiple geographies. Reporting to the Product Manager, the business analyst will liaise with stakeholders and collaborate with our customer base and cross-functional teams to ensure that we understand our clients and support them the “right way”.
Responsibilities:
* Detail-oriented approach to assess and resolve product- and data-related inquiries raised by stakeholders and clients
* Investigate exemplar issues in order to determine underlying causes and develop problem-resolution approaches
* Establish, monitor, and report on Key Performance Indicators to assess progress
* Elicit requirements and feedback from internal and external constituents
* Translate requirements into user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria
* Understand product feature goals and describe key use cases
Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years analysis experience
* Passionate about problem-solving and client management
* Ability to grasp and tackle complex issues
* You love speaking with customers and translating their needs into functional capabilities
* You are motivated and committed to completing tasks from start to finish
* Capable of efficiently gathering information
* Desire to help people understand the value of regulatory technology
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* An interest in software application design and technology
* Financial services industry preferred
