Electrical Project Manager £50k - £55k car allowance South-East London Property Maintenance Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a social housing contractor in the Harlow area who are looking for a brand-new Electrical Project Manager to join their team. The Electrical Project Manager will head up the overall running of an electrical team installing fire related electrical work. They will be directly responsible for the delivery of fire related electrical work (Emergency Lights, Mains operated Smoke & Heat Detectors) via the effective management of a small team of directly employed Electricians, Electrical Improvers and Sub-Contractors. Responsibilities will be varied as detailed below to ensure the efficient running of the team and to ensure compliance with the mandatory NICEIC requirements. Duties: Managing incoming work so that each job within the remit of the Electrical Project Manager has a projected completion date Carry out electrical surveys in advance of work being carried out to ascertain the labour and materials required for each job Monthly revenue forecasting Preparation and valuation of invoicing applications created from an agreed schedule of rates Identification and notification of variations Negotiation of subcontractor works if required Ensure all paperwork associated with the previous weeks work has been completed and passed over to the administration team Management of small stores/lock up in Eltham (SE London) to ensure stock is accounted for and booked out to jobs in a timely manner Implement and maintain company policy on Health & Safety Responsibility for complying with and implementing the Q&E management system within their area of activity Any other relevant duties as appropriate to the role as assigned by line manager Key Knowledge/Qualifications: Extensive experience of electrical installations Must be a fully qualified 18th edition electrician Must have City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing cert Must have hands on experience of electrical inspection and testing Experience of the Health & Safety requirements associated with the quoted works Translating experience and knowledge of electrical systems to assist with the quoting process Competent IT skills (including Outlook, Excel & Word) Excellent written and verbal communication skills If this sounds like a role that suits your profile, then feel free to get in touch.
