Receptionist Halifax Monday to Friday 8.00AM-5.00PM £13.50 per hour Receptionist Role: We are looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist to join our client, who are specialists in the services they provide. As the first point of contact for customers, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive experience for clients while supporting the smooth operation of the site. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, highly organised detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Greet customers warmly and professionally, both in person and over the phone. Schedule appointments for car repairs and maintenance, ensuring efficient use of time and resources. Manage customer inquiries, providing information about services, pricing, and expected timelines. Direct customers to the appropriate technician or service advisor. Maintain an organised front desk area and office, ensuring that paperwork, forms, and records are up to date and accessible. Process customer payments, issue invoices, and balance tills Maintain customer records and ensure all information is entered into the system accurately. Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth communication and updates on job progress including job sheets Handle incoming deliveries and ensure parts are logged into the inventory system. Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and managing office supplies. Monitor customer satisfaction and address concerns or complaints professionally, escalating to management as needed. Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for customers. Requirements: Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in an automotive or repair environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in busy or stressful situations. Proficient in using office equipment (phones, computers, printers) and basic software (e.g., Microsoft Office, scheduling tools). Friendly and approachable demeanour with a strong focus on customer service. Basic knowledge of car maintenance or repair is a plus but not required.
