For which tasks (responsibilities)?
* Establish and communicate a clear artistic vision for XR projects, ensuring consistency and maintaining high-quality standards across all assets.
* Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary art team, including 2D/3D artists, animators, and designers.
* Collaborate closely with development and other departments to ensure seamless integration of art assets into the game engine.
* Supervise the production of concept art, 3D models, animations, textures, and UI elements.
* Develop and optimize art pipelines, tools, and workflows to increase production efficiency and meet project deadlines.
* Provide regular feedback and guidance to the art team to elevate the quality of their work and ensure alignment with the project's visual direction.
* Participate in sprint planning, resource allocation, and key meetings to ensure art requirements are properly considered and delivered on time.
* Stay current with industry trends in art, design, and immersive technologies (VR/AR, 3D modeling, real-time rendering, etc.), incorporating relevant innovations into projects.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
* 5+ years of experience in the XR or gaming industry, with significant time in leadership or art management roles.
* Expertise across various art disciplines, including concept art, 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation.
* Solid understanding of color theory and composition
* Strong knowledge of real-time graphics constraints, particularly on VR platforms and across multiple devices.
* Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Autodesk Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Photoshop.
* Deep experience with 3D pipelines, workflows, and optimizing art assets for performance and quality.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of guiding art teams and collaborating effectively with cross-functional departments.
* In-depth understanding of the technical aspects of art integration in Unity engine.
* Residence within a timezone close to CET.
Nice to have:
* Expertise in motion design and 3D animation
* Understanding of rendering pipelines, specifically Unity’s render pipelines.
* Familiarity with other game engines like Unreal Engine or proprietary engines.
