Workshop Co-ordinator
A challenging and rewarding role for an experienced workshop co-ordinator who can oversee the maintenance and repair of a large fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Job Summary
* As a workshop Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that the fleet of vehicles and equipment are in optimal condition and ready for hire.
* You will lead a team of technicians and mechanics, providing them with guidance, training, and support.
* You will also liaise with customers, suppliers, and contractors, ensuring that the workshop meets the quality and safety standards and complies with the relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, schedule, and monitor the maintenance and repair of hire equipment, trailers, and other tools and machinery.
* Manage the workshop inventory, resources, and ensure that the workshop is well-equipped and kept to a standard.
* Supervise, coach, and motivate the workshop staff, ensuring that they perform their duties effectively and safely.
* Ensure that the workshop adheres to the health and safety policies and procedures, and report any incidents or hazards.
* Communicate with customers, suppliers, and contractors, providing them with accurate and timely information and feedback.
* Keep records of the workshop activities, such as work orders, invoices, warranties, and service reports.
* Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and innovation in the workshop processes and practices.
Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum of 5 years of experience as a workshop co-ordinator or a similar role in the vehicle and equipment hire industry.
* A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
* Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail and quality orientation.
* Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Customer service and teamwork skills.
