Job summary The Healthcare Assistant (HCA) with Administration Duties plays a dual role in providing both clinical support and administrative assistance in a private outpatient setting. The HCA is responsible for assisting clinicians with patient care, performing basic clinical tasks, and ensuring a smooth patient journey. Additionally, they support the clinical team with patient record management, organizing clinical areas and to enhance the overall efficiency of the private clinic. The HCA will work collaboratively with nurses, consultants, and administrative staff to maintain a seamless and high-quality service. Main duties of the job Assist clinicians, nurses, and ophthalmic technicians in delivering patient care within the private outpatient clinic. Perform basic clinical tasks, including: Measuring and recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature).Conducting basic ophthalmic assessments (e.g., visual acuity tests, tonometry). Assisting with patient preparation for diagnostic tests and minor procedures. Providing pre- and post-procedure support to patients. Ensure infection control standards are maintained in clinical areas, including cleaning and restocking consultation rooms.
