The Phlebotomy department is looking for self-motivated individuals to join the phlebotomy team at Ashford and St Peters NHS Foundation Trust where you will have the variety of working within the Hospital and in Community locations. Applicants should be patient-focused, energetic, enjoy working as part of a team, have effective communication skills in a fast-paced and constantly busy environment, and enjoy working with the public.
Full training is given, so no previous healthcare experience is required for this post. You should be committed to ensuring provision of high standards of customer care, enabling the service to provide quality samples with minimum discomfort to the patient, ensuring accurate results for correct diagnosis and treatment.
To participate in the provision of a high calibre and professional Phlebotomy service within Ashford and St Peters Hospitals Trust and the local community.
To perform venepuncture capillary sampling on patients and children within Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust and the surrounding community outreach clinics.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participate in the delivery and maintenance of an efficient Phlebotomy service.
2. To carry out all tasks in a prompt, safe, and efficient manner.

4. To be smart in appearance and dress in the uniform provided.
5. To attend mandatory training and continuing education courses as required.
6. To support the department and organisation by carrying out any other duties that reasonably fit within the broad scope of a job of this grade and type of work.
