Overview of Role
The HRBP will have a wide range of involvement with positions and people at all areas and points of the organization, from the CFO, CTO, CEO, COO, CCO and to individual employees. This role will provide HR Business Partner Support to the CTO, CCO and CFO areas in all aspects of people and HR matters.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support line managers with up-to-date HR best practices. Mentoring managers on HR and employment law, creating clear understanding and increasing personal confidence in their own skill set.
2. Give accurate advice and information to managers, for example, as per legislation, case law, ACAS guidance and CIPD best practice.
3. Develop and maintain HR documentation that will be readily available to managers and staff, for example, procedures, template documents.
4. Assist investigations regarding matters such as discipline and grievances, where required, supporting the investigating manager produce a robust report, with supporting evidence and having given advice as to reasonable recommendations.
5. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs for talent development initiatives.
6. Collaborate and ensure alignment and integration of talent development efforts and provide specialist consulting experience to business priorities.
7. Support and assist business areas with organisational design and transformation. Ensuring processes are followed.
Skills and Knowledge
The HRBP will demonstrate excellent skills in assessing an HR matter, distilling the pertinent issues and be able to clearly convey this to their audience, using written and verbal means of communication. IT skills will be to a professional level, and will be competent in Microsoft Packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Attitude
The HRBP will develop positive constructive working relationships with managers, demonstrating personal competence, reliability and being a valued member of the wider company team. Building up and maintaining trust and confidence in the HRBP role is necessary.
Training and Experience
1. 3-5 years of having operated effectively and successfully as an HR Advisor or HRBP.
2. Will hold a relevant Human Resources undergraduate degree, at least to 2nd class Honours.
3. May hold a relevant post graduate qualification, for example, Human Resources, Management Development, Business Management, Organisational Design.
4. Hold CIPD membership, at least to charter level, showing evidence of continual professional development.
