Job Title: Principal Engineer - Electrical (Control & Instrumentation)

What you'll be doing:
1. Undertaking functional design of Complex Integrated Process Control Systems, providing specialist advice, and producing evidence in support of legislative, safety and technical requirements
2. Liaising with internal and external customers as part of the technical team
3. Articulating and presenting technical argument, clearly, logically, and simply
4. Executing, evaluating, delivering, and managing complex engineering and/or cross functional tasks or programmes of work recognising stakeholder and customer requirements
5. Leading and developing a small team of Control and Instrumentation engineers
6. Identifying as well as implementing opportunities for personal/team development to ensure that professional capability of the business and individual are maintained as well as improved
Your Skills and Experience:
Essential
7. Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent qualification and experience within an engineering background
8. Demonstrable experience of engineering lifecycle phases and technical specialities
9. Significant experience producing and communicating design documentation and artefacts relating to Control Systems
10. Experience developing solutions to meet complex technical requirements in a highly regulated industry/environment
11. Obtained or capable of obtaining relevant Professional Registration (CEng)

You will be joining a team responsible for delivering the engineering solution that make the UK Royal Navy Submarines truly world class, ensuring that we deliver an effective Royal Navy capability and a platform that ensures the safety of its crew.
