Teaching Personnel's SEN Team are on the look out for an enthusiastic and hard working Teaching Assistant to support learning within a specialist partner SEN school. Students within this school all have an Educational Healthcare Plan and a wide range of Special Educational Needs including Autism, ADHD and Complex Learning Difficulties. The schools is very well equipt with state of the art facilities including a hydrotherapy suite and specialist sensory play rooms.
Your role:
- To follow Educational Health Care plans working 1:1 and in small groups with students to support activities and learning.
- Support wellbeing and encourage emotional regulation.
- Create inclusive resources and support the classroom teacher in lesson delivery
- Use specialist resources such as Alternative Communication Boards, PECs cards and other equiptment (no previous experience neccessary)
- Support with Acitivities of Daily Living and Personal Care as required.
About you:
- Experience working with children within a professional or personal capacity required.
- Direct experience with Special Educational Needs or Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs desirable.
- An outgoing and personable approach, confident to use your own initiative within the classroom.
- A commitment to following safeguarding proceedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
