We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in the Dudley area.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to support children with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, challenging behaviour, and non-verbal communication.
The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils with additional needs, helping them achieve their potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for children with SEN.

Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and engaging with their learning.
*
Use patience and empathy to build positive relationships with pupils.
*
Adapt to the individual needs of children, including non-verbal communication and managing challenging behaviour.
*
Work flexibly as part of a wider team, including liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and parents/carers.
*
Foster a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment for all pupils.
Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have:

A minimum of 1 year’s experience working with SEN pupils in the UK.
*
A kind, patient, and caring nature with a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
*
The ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet individual pupils' needs.
*
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and colleagues.
*
Experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, challenging behaviour, or non-verbal communication (desirable).
*
A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
