Job summary We are currently looking for a Band 6 RNMH / RGN to work on a Bank agreement for our Eating Disorders team in Rosanne House, Welwyn. All applicants must have previous experience in Eating Disorders The post holder will work in close collaboration with other professionals, including the wider multi - disciplinary CEDS team (MDT) in assessing service user's needs, devising care plans and evaluating outcomes that promote service user empowerment and recovery. The post holder, with the MDT will provide high quality, individualised and evidence based eating disorder care and treatment, which addresses the needs of the service users and their families and meets individual specialist health needs. Main duties of the job The role will: Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of high quality specialist care for people with moderate to severe eating disorders. Undertake training in phlebotomy in order to monitor the physical health of people with severe eating disorders under the guidance of the Consultant Psychiatrist Manage high levels of risk in the community in partnership with the consultant pscyhiatrists and senior support workers, promoting service user recovery as well as safety whenever possible Learn to use the NICE recommended interventions for eating disorders such as SSCM (Specialist Supportive Clinical Management), CBT or CBTE, MANTRA (the Maudsley Model of Treatment for Anorexia) as well as motivational, DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) and other appropriate clinical interventions Be responsible for liaising with the GP practices in the quadrant for which the nurse is responsible. Be required to teach other nursing and non-nursing personnel. Be a role model through their own good practice. Be responsible for maintaining clinical standards, and team systemsunder the direction of the Team Leader and Professional Lead.
