We are seeking a highly motivated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Northumberland. Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
2. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
3. Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities and events
4. Work closely with colleagues to support the development of the PE curriculum
5. Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to students and parents
6. Maintain a high standard of classroom management, ensuring a safe and positive learning experience for all students
7. Promote a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing within the school community
About You:
1. Qualified PE Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
2. Passionate about teaching and sports, with a clear ability to inspire students
3. Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and educational standards
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse student needs
6. Enthusiastic about organizing extracurricular sports programs and events
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
1. Previous experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting
2. A commitment to the overall development of students, both inside and outside of the classroom
3. A team player mentality with the ability to collaborate with colleagues
4. A proactive attitude towards personal development and professional growth
5. A DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
