Head of Operations – Longevity Power (London) Longevity Power is at the forefront of the clean energy revolution, delivering innovative solutions to real estate investors across Europe and North America. Our comprehensive approach includes on-site renewables, off-site power procurement, and EV charging infrastructure. As the Head of Operations, you will lead our technical teams to deliver cutting-edge projects that drive sustainability and profitability. Responsibilities Include: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations to lead and oversee a diverse portfolio of complex projects. In this role, you will be responsible for: 1. Team Leadership : Building, motivating, and leading high-performing project teams to achieve project goals and milestones. 2. Sourcing : Build strong relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable contracts and ensure timely delivery of materials and investigating alternative sourcing options, such as local manufacturing or recycled components, to improve sustainability and reduce costs. 3. Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance : Ensuring adherence to stringent safety standards and procedures across all project sites. Regularly inspecting sites to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. 4. Project Management : Managing the full project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, and close-out. This includes scheduling and coordinating the work of subcontractors (e.g., civil contractors, electricians) and ensuring the timely delivery of materials to site. 5. Site Management : Oversee the work of electricians, installers, and other construction personnel, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines and the resolution of any challenges or conflicts that arise during construction, such as equipment failures, material delays, or safety concerns. 6. Design : Based on project requirements and budget constraints, select the most suitable solar panels, inverters, and other components for each project, assessing site conditions and constraints (e.g., shading, structural limitations) to inform the design and installation process. 7. Financial Performance : Driving project profitability and maximising revenue. 8. Commercial Management : Managing contracts, change orders, and claims to optimise project profitability. 9. Business Development : Supporting business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations. About You To be successful in this role, you will need: • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. • A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, ideally within the solar installation industry. • Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire teams. • A strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • A commercial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and financial performance. • The ability to travel to project sites as required (approximately 50% of working hours to be spent onsite).
