The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Finance Officer on behalf of a national charity in Northampton.
The Role
As a Finance Officer, you will process all aspects of income for the organization, ensuring accurate data entry into company and accounting systems. You will collaborate within the Finance team, including the Finance Officer and Senior Finance Officer, and interact with colleagues across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The daily duties include:
1. Accounts Receivable / Income Processing: Enter income data, process card payments, maintain donor registers, prepare invoices, perform credit control, work with regional teams on Gift Aid, produce reports, and assist with annual audits.
2. Accounts Payable: Register and process purchase invoices, respond to queries, manage the finance email inbox, reconcile statements, process expenses, and handle refunds for subsidiaries.
3. Financial Management and Operations: Generate reports, assist with audits, perform reconciliations, post journals, manage procurement cards, ensure correct coding, process intercompany transactions, and support ad-hoc projects.
4. Additional Duties: Support organizational change projects, take minutes, share best practices, update procedure guides, and undertake other finance-related tasks.
Your Profile
* Proficient in system knowledge and IT skills, including accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
* Organized, accurate, with attention to detail.
* Part-qualified and studying towards AAT, CIMA, or ACCA qualifications.
Salary and Benefits
Salary up to £26,500 with hybrid work in Northampton, 1-2 days/week, and team meetings in London.
