Your Role as SENCO: Lead and manage the SEN department, ensuring high-quality provision for all students with additional needs. Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to develop and implement effective intervention strategies. Oversee and contribute to the creation and review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Provide training and guidance to teaching staff to ensure inclusive classroom practices. Liaise with parents, carers, and local authorities to ensure the best outcomes for students. Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEN support, making data-driven decisions to improve provision. Who We’re Looking For: A qualified SENCO with the National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to obtain it). Experience working with students with a range of special educational needs, particularly in an SEN or mainstream setting. A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and best practices for inclusive education. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. The ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support students' academic and personal development. An Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
