The newly integrated Community Vaccination Service is looking for a team player and experienced HCSW to deliver the school age vaccination programme alongside the Covid vaccination delivery to housebound patients and care homes, also assisting the admin lead with delegated tasks.
Vaccinations are the safest and most effective way of protecting individuals and communities from vaccine preventable diseases. Working for the Community Vaccination Service allows for you to work as part of a team supporting and promoting the importance of vaccines who are passionate to protect this age group and offering support to the Integrated Vaccination Service across the Trust.

Main duties of the job
1. Administering selected vaccines in schools, at community clinics, in care homes and in patient homes.
2. Collecting vaccines and equipment from vaccine bases.
3. Delegated administration tasks as identified by the admin lead, such as running reports, liaising with schools/service users, and data collection.

Person Specification
Knowledge, Skills and Training
* Willing and able to apply existing experience and gain necessary skills to work effectively in the community, hospitals or other community settings, equivalent to a vocational level 3 qualification.
* Willing to professionally develop and undertake further development/training as identified to meet the needs of the service, including Trust Band 3 Extended Skills programme and Care Certificate.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Specific Experience
* Ability to work on own initiative, but with a commitment to participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice and further develop skills.
* Willingness to learn.

Additional Requirements

Business Travel
* Subject to the provisions of the Equality Act, able to travel using own vehicle on Trust business (working within the Community).
