The Ruth Gorse Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague for the role of Head Librarian. This role is crucial to our work as an Academy. The successful applicant will be expected to manage and develop the library, providing a suitable environment for structured and independent learning for both staff and students within the academy, and to maintain a stock of learning resources that reflect current curriculum needs.
The ideal applicant will have:
• Grade C/4 and above in GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• Qualification or experience in librarianship at a professional level.
• Passionate about working with young people to improve literacy and develop wider learning skills.
