Our client in the Wednesbury area is looking for a Supply Demand Planner to join their fun and vibrant team due to continued business growth!

Role & Responsibilities
Monitor lead times and plan when to place orders with suppliers and take into consideration delivery times in order to achieve set delivery dates within the FMCG/Perishables sector.
Analyse and monitor the sales forecasts at customer and product level.
Identify inconsistencies in actual demand against planned demand and update the forecasts to mitigate shortages and overstocks.
Analyse data sets using Microsoft Excel to monitor product trends and demand cycles.
Liaise with suppliers, logistics and shipping agents to ensure purchase orders are delivered on schedule.
Manually calculate conversions from metric to imperial and vice versa.
Monitor UK clearance rates against sea freight rates, to ensure the most commercial and cost-effective option is chosen for inbound goods.
Should overstock occur, liaise with the Sales team to develop a sales plan.
Provide regular feedback to Sales, Procurement, and Inventory teams on stock shortages and excess stock.
Utilise internal software for currency conversions e.g. Dollars to GBP.
Perform market analysis of goods and products.
Manage day-to-day communication with the stock control team.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years supply & demand experience, including forecasting and supplier scheduling.
Sales & operations planning experience.
Intermediate to advanced user of MS Excel; strong data manipulation skills including V-Lookups & Pivot tables.
Excellent mathematical ability.
Ability to convert metric to imperial without digital tools.
Problem solving skills with an ability to provide solutions to management.
Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
Highly organised and methodical in your approach.
