Won Connect is a new social enterprise working across Glasgow to overcome social isolation through technology and computers. We will train people to use computers in their homes and community centres to help them connect with the world.
As an Administration Volunteer with our enterprise, you will deal with external and internal communication, data entry, and scheduling appointments.
You will work closely with the Managing Director.
We offer a platform for our volunteers to express and develop their skills and knowledge. If desired, this role can provide essential work experience to expand your CV.
Since volunteering with us, some of our talented and enthusiastic volunteers have gone on to secure amazing positions as digital marketing officers, website and/or software developers, and HR Assistants in companies such as BBC, Premium Houseware, and other businesses in Glasgow. Some also gain the confidence to become freelance developers in digital marketing and so on.
Key Tasks:
1. Word processing. Dealing with email and telephone enquiries. Handling external and internal communications.
2. Data entry, organising, arranging and coordinating meetings. Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing post. Procuring office supplies.
3. Demonstrable organisational, communication & interpersonal skills including great business writing and verbal skills.
4. Good oral and written communication, good IT skills, good organisational skills.
5. Support the assistant director with admin duties such as calendar management.

Travel Information:
As we are based in Govan and Easterhouse, public transport routes will bring you close to our offices. The position is primarily virtual with some in-person sessions.

This is a flexible opportunity, and you will be required to agree when you can attend directly with the provider of the opportunity.
