Are you an experienced Assistant Building Services Manager looking to contribute your skills to an ambitious and supportive team? We are seeking an individual to assist the Building Services Team in managing the technical, QA, and coordination of MEP elements across a variety of projects within the Southern Home Counties business unit. This position is project-based, with flexibility for occasional remote working.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and QA oversight for MEP elements of allocated projects.
Assist in coordinating MEP building and infrastructure services to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Maintain familiarity with assurance processes, codes of practice, and statutory documentation.
Support the successful delivery of projects, focusing on technical and some commercial aspects.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure efficient and effective project progression.Key Tasks:
Assist in the planning and implementation of MEP services within projects.
Ensure quality and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Work with project teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize solutions.
Develop technical expertise in MEP building and infrastructure services.
Engage with Tier 1 contractors and develop skills in Design & Build project delivery.Requirements:
Knowledge of MEP, M&E, and related engineering disciplines.
Relevant qualifications such as HNC, HND, or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Understanding of assurance processes and industry standards.
Experience in the main contracting market, preferably with DfE and Design & Build projects.
