Hydromarque, a proudly independent small business, is looking for a dynamic External Sales Representative to spearhead growth in the water industry while also engaging with the food and beverage sector. As part of our close-knit team, you’ll combine technical expertise in pumps and hydraulic systems with a solution-focused sales approach to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement & Growth
o Cultivate relationships with water utility companies and food/beverage clients.
o Identify new opportunities to expand the company's reach and influence.
o Conduct site visits to showcase Hydromarque’s products and services.
2. Technical Expertise in Sales
o Leverage knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, and industry-specific challenges to design effective solutions.
o Provide technical insights to customers during consultations, emphasizing quality and cost-efficiency.
3. Operational Versatility
o Support colleagues and contribute to ad-hoc tasks, such as warehouse management, marketing projects, or attending industry events, to gain a holistic understanding of Hydromarque’s operations.
o Assist in problem-solving and team initiatives outside of sales to ensure smooth operations.
4. Market Analysis & Strategy
o Monitor trends and competitor activity to refine sales approaches.
o Develop strategic plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
5. Proposal and Contract Negotiation
o Prepare professional proposals and negotiate terms that align with client needs and Hydromarque’s goals.
o Close deals effectively and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
6. Reporting & Teamwork
o Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system and report on performance.
o Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of solutions.
Qualifications
1. Technical & Sales Skills:
o Strong understanding of pumps, hydraulic systems, and their industrial applications.
o Proven ability in solution selling, particularly within water, food, and beverage industries.
2. Experience & Education:
o Relevant degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, hydraulics, or related fields.
o 5 years in a sales role with technical elements.
3. Soft Skills & Attributes:
o Flexible and willing to take on additional tasks beyond primary responsibilities.
o Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-focused mindset.
o Self-motivated, organized, and capable of independent work.
4. Other Requirements:
o Willingness to travel regularly across the territory.
o Valid driver’s license.
