We are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager to work alongside the Registered Manager in line with our principles and in accordance with children’s homes regulations. You will support the partnership between key professionals and other agencies in the development and delivery of care plans whilst keeping individual needs of the children a priority.
You will also oversee and support the staff team with their own good practice and development within a leadership and supervisory capacity.
You will be encouraged with your own growth and progression within this position, as we believe that a successful and effective deputy role provides a solid foundation for progression to registered manager in the future.
This is a shift-based role which will fall in line with our current rota structure and is a full-time and permanent position based in Langport, Somerset within our 3 bedded home.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
* Level 3 or 4 Residential Childcare Diploma
* Commitment to complete Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification or equivalent
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Holds a level 5 Leadership & Management qualification or equivalent
* Leadership experience
Location:
Langport, Somerset
Salary and Hours:
£35,323.54 - £41,890.01pa representative inclusive of sleep ins – dependent on qualifications and experience.
Sleep in rate of £91.52 per night.
Full-time contract of 40 hours per week.
You should expect to work 24-hour shifts from approximately 09.30am – 10.00am the following day.
A typical ‘rolling' rota pattern will be:
Week 1: Mon, Weds, Sat
Week 2: Tues, Fri, Sun
Week 3: Thurs only.
Sleep in duties take place from 23:00 – 07:00am and will equate to approximately 7 -10 per month.
Successful applicants will be required to work shifts based on the rolling rota basis which will fall over weekends and bank holidays.
