What you will do in your working day
Sonomatic can provide you with an opportunity to get hands on with:
* Cable termination: Terminate various cable types, including motor cables, ultrasonic extensions, and ROV Umbilical’s.
* Assembly and Wiring: Build, wire, and test subsea and topside motors for our campaigns, Build and wire testing systems for
onsite kit testing, Wire various probes.
* Potting of cables and probes for subsea use.
* Pressure Testing: Conduct pressure testing of motors and cabling to ensure suitability for harsh environments
* Engineering administration including risk assessments, purchasing, BOM, making operation manuals.

Other tasks may involve:
* Carrying out work designated by Lead Engineers or Managers
* Comply with all company policies and procedures e.g., health
and safety, training & development, quality, disciplinary &
grievance, and timekeeping & attendance etc.
* To carry out any other tasks to meet the needs of the business.
The training you will be getting
* Working towards Level 3 Maintenance, Operations and Engineering Technician qualification whilst attending Warrington & Vale Royal College 1 day a week for day release.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Subject to the candidate successfully completing the apprenticeship and demonstrating a competence for the role, they will be offered a permanent position becoming a Workshop Technician, they will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery, from assembling and testing equipment, to ordering, packing, and shipping to project sites. You will also be able to use your expertise to identify and rectify equipment issues.
