Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for building relationships and driving membership engagement? The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Membership to recruit new members, lead and enhance our membership services and support our Chapter network on a temporary basis.

About the Role
As the Head of Membership, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering an outstanding membership experience. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead the development of strategies to attract, retain, and engage members while ensuring that RIAS continues to meet their evolving needs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the membership team to deliver exceptional services and support to our members.
* Developing and implementing strategies to grow and diversify the membership base.
* Enhancing member benefits, communications, and engagement initiatives.
* Overseeing the administration of membership applications, renewals, and compliance with professional standards.
* Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver events, programs, and other member-focused activities.
* Monitoring and reporting on membership performance metrics and financials.
* Staying informed of trends and challenges in the architectural profession to shape relevant offerings.
About You
We are looking for a confident leader with a proven track record in membership management or a related field. You will bring:
* Strong experience in managing membership programs, customer engagement, or stakeholder relations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with a wide range of professionals.
* Strategic planning and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering measurable results.
* Knowledge of the architecture, construction, or professional membership sectors is desirable.
* A proactive, adaptable approach to managing change and delivering against deadlines.
