The restaurant & bar manager will be responsible for overseeing the restaurant, bar and hotel in-room dining operation, orchestrating the magic of the guest dining experience by leading a team of passionate individuals. This position is made for someone who is driven by the need to create memorable experiences each and every day and is passionate about delivering great hospitality in an informal yet professional setting. Most of all, we want you to have FUN since you will play a huge role in creating that memorable guest experience The Nitty-Gritty: What exactly you will be doing Train, train, train It all starts here. You will be responsible for building a team of talented individuals who never let the ball drop. This means creating and implementing a comprehensive training program that keeps the team on their toes and ensures the delivery of consistent high standards in service Monitor and track the flow of information coming to you from your senior management, hotel side and culinary side and distribute consistently to your teammates. Be highly involved in decisions and communication on the floor and share results with fellow teammates and managers Guest Interaction. You will be responsible for detailing and confirming guest profiles and communicating that to the FOH and BOH teams. You will handle guest issues directly, with confidence and achieve positive results helping to build a regular guest pool Leadership. This position has an enormous responsibility of keeping everyone moving in the right direction every day. Achieving that will take a consistent attitude about standards and service. Many people will count on you for direction and your message will need to be clear and concise Organisation and time management. Balancing the needs of your team, guests and business will be crucial. Your time management skills will be tested between having a strong floor presence at key times, dedicated training time and business deliverables Adaptability: Eve is a dynamic venue that hosts regular events and the manager will be required to deliver a variety of events that require a varying approach to service whilst still adhering to our high standards Educate: Through our wine club, pasta making classes and wine & negroni flights you will be responsible for enhancing the guest experience through these add-on experiences Other Responsibilities: The main priority is the guest experience, monitoring the floor, training, and consistent leadership. However, there is still work to be done. Schedules must be completed to balance the needs of the business. Inventory controls, strong P&L knowledge, waste of product, glassware, equipment, etc must be monitored daily. All human resource as well as health & safety aspects must be completed according to protocols Handling daily tasks of scheduling, having people in the right place at the right time, driving revenue through various competitions, checking opening/running/closing duties of staff, ensuring uniform & grooming standards are met, ensuring Virgin standards and protocol are being practiced throughout the department Background must-have: Current right to work in the UK Preferred: 2-3 years management experience in a full-service restaurant within a hotel setting WSET Level 2, 3 or 4 (Preferred) Strong food and beverage knowledge A track record of building a successful team and achieving targets We believe that our team should be reflective of the world.
