Learning Support Assistant – 1:1 Support for ASD Child
Are you passionate about making a difference in a child's education? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1:1 support for a primary school student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support to help the child access learning activities.
2. Implement strategies to support their social, emotional, and educational development.
3. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lesson materials.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
5. Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.
About You:
1. Experience working with children with ASD or special educational needs (preferred but not essential).
2. Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong rapport with children.
3. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
4. A proactive attitude and willingness to adapt to the child’s evolving needs.
Requirements:
1. Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if needed).
2. Relevant qualifications or experience in education or SEN support (desirable).
