Role Overview:
As an SEN Learning Support, you will be working directly with students who have a variety of special educational needs. Your role will be vital in ensuring that students are able to access lessons, complete tasks, and develop the skills necessary for both academic and personal growth. You'll work closely with teachers to create an inclusive environment where every student feels supported and empowered to succeed.
Main Responsibilities of the SEN Learning Support:
Provide tailored support to students with SEN, working individually or in small groups.
Assist in delivering personalized learning plans that meet each student's unique needs.
Create an inclusive and positive atmosphere within the classroom, where every student can thrive.
Offer emotional and social support to help students build confidence and resilience.
Help students engage fully with the curriculum by supporting them with daily tasks and activities.
Foster a positive classroom environment by promoting appropriate student behavior.
Requirements of the SEN Learning Support:
A genuine passion for working with students with special educational needs.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Prior experience in an educational setting is beneficial, but not essential.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to approach challenges with a positive attitude.
