We are looking to recruit a Band 3 Rehabilitation Support Worker to assist Occupational Therapist & Physiotherapist working under supervision in providing a ward and community based therapy service to patients in Dawlish Community Hospital to promote faster recovery from illness and support timely discharge and maximise independent living.
In your role, you will be skilled in sensitively ensuring patients are aware of their limitations and that all goals are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound. Elsewhere, you will participate in the review or case conference of individual clients and contribute to the evaluation and development of their progress in reaching goals.
Main duties of the job
As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will be part of the Inpatient Therapy team supporting the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist with rehabilitation programmes for patients in Dawlish Hospital.
You will collect, collate and record appropriate personally generated observations and report any significant changes that might be detrimental to the patient.
It is important to have good organisation skills in order to meet the challenges and work effectively whilst under pressure and with frequent interruptions.
