Position Overview:
Senior Business Development leadership role within AWS Energy & Utilities industry unit. Focus on Power & Utility customers' digital transformation and cloud adoption. Emphasis on addressing industry transformation challenges including modernization, cybersecurity, and climate initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute market development plans. Identify and establish Line of Business opportunities. Build relationships with CxO/VP level executives. Drive industry thought leadership and technical guidance.
2. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work with AWS solutions architects, partners, and sales teams. Coordinate with marketing, compliance, security, and policy teams. Enable AWS customer teams in their day-to-day interactions.
3. Technical & Business Development:
Help develop cloud patterns and solutions. Create and promote technical content and reference architectures. Drive sales plays and customer engagements. Participate in industry events and speaking engagements.
The role requires a blend of technical knowledge, business acumen, and leadership skills to drive AWS's growth in the utility sector while helping customers navigate their digital transformation journey.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 15+ years of Power & Utilities industry experience
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
* Strong cross-functional leadership abilities
* Excellent communication and public speaking skills
* Deep understanding of utility operations and challenges
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Expertise in Operational Technology (OT)
* Strategic and analytical thinking
