The Role
Burnley FC in the Community believes every young person should feel empowered to achieve their goals and uses the power of sport and Burnley FC in the Community to support young people to make positive choices in their lives.
This role will be to ensure that all service level agreement objectives with the schools are met and surpassed through strategic planning, excellence in delivery, strong working relationships and continuous monitoring and evaluation through our dedicated SEND provision, ‘Limitless Clarets’.
This role will be predominantly based in Schools, the individual will need to be self-driven and ensure they are providing the best opportunities for the students. This position is based within schools and at the Leisure Box for three separate schools who provide education for children and young people who cannot attend mainstream school because of their special education need, impairment and/or disability.
The role will also work on our ‘Limitless Clarets’ sessions which take place at the Leisure Box in Brierfield on weekday evenings.

Roles and Responsibilities
•Engage, inspire and empower young people with SEND to reach their full potential.
•Deliver high-quality sessions that engage, enthuse and progress young people and provide inclusive provisions.
•Support the development and delivery of high-quality, impactful sport and youth engagement sessions in areas of high need across Burnley and Pendle and the wider East Lancashire area.
•Understand and implement the Charity’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines in your role and use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to a safe environment.
•Be able to work flexible hours where the role of the job requires.
•Work towards agreed objectives.
•Comply with all Charity policies.
•Promote the Burnley FC in the Community brand and ethos in a professional, strong, and positive manner.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
•Professional qualification in Sports Coaching. (e.g., Multi-Sport, Football, or another sport)
•Experience of working with young people with Special Educational Needs (SEND), impairments and/or Disabilities.
•Experience delivering sports sessions to young people with SEND.
•Have an understanding on SEND, Impairments and disability
•Ability do adapt and diversify delivery in sessions
•An understanding of young people’s risks, challenges and needs.
•An understanding of safeguarding procedures.
•To be responsible to safeguard the welfare of children and adults at risk.
•Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
•Excellent organisation, time management prioritisation skills.
•Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire others.
