We are looking for someone to join our Community Team as a Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner. We would welcome applications from those with relevant experience and a keen interest to work with children, young people and their families with a focus on rehabilitation. Previous experience as a therapy support worker or supporting activity / exercise would be an advantage. The age of the population we see means that experience working with children and young people in healthcare settings is beneficial but not essential. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced physiotherapists, the wider multi-disciplinary team as well as partner organisations contributing to the delivery of rehabilitation in partnership with families, children and young people.
You will join a forward-thinking physiotherapy team based in Braidburn School. The post holder will hold their own caseload and be responsible for ongoing assessment, progression and discharge within defined parameters.
As a service we support and encourage continuing professional development and encourage all staff to use the PDP and appraisal to support life long learning.
We would encourage anyone who is interested to get in touch and come for a visit as you may find this is the post you have been looking for!

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board.
