Corporate Fundraising Manager (Full-time 37.5 hours over 5 days or Part-time 30 hours over 4 days)
Charlie House supports babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families, across the north-east of Scotland. The goal is simple - to help children to live as full lives as possible and help make precious memories for the whole family at the most difficult of times.
We have an exciting opportunity within the Fundraising and Marcomms team at Charlie House for an experienced networker who is an organised self-starter to join us as Corporate Fundraising Manager, reporting to the Director of Fundraising.
This post will have responsibility for leading and delivering the Charlie House corporate fundraising strategy whilst securing new partnerships with corporate supporters to proactively secure five figure partnerships. You will provide a high level of account management and stewardship to the existing and new Charlie House corporate partners to maximise fundraised income and deliver agreed fundraising targets.
This post will play a key role in helping Charlie House raise vital income so that local children and families can get the support they need and driving forward our Big Build Appeal to create a specialist care centre in Aberdeen for children, providing much needed respite, palliative and end-of-life care in the region.
We are looking for someone who has experience and enthusiasm in relationship building whether in a fundraising environment or business development/sales capacity. With strong communication skills and determination to succeed against financial targets, this role is for someone who is as passionate and enthusiastic as we are about helping the Charlie House community and helping local children live life to the full.
Role Purpose
1. To lead and deliver the corporate fundraising strategy to raise target income and sponsorship from corporate partners and supporters.
2. To secure new business and generate income from corporate partners and supporters, by proactively securing five figure partnerships.
3. To provide a high level of account management and stewardship to existing and corporate partners to maximise fundraised income.
Responsibilities
Main Duties
1. Lead and manage the corporate portfolio to develop and drive new business support and partnerships, alongside retention and uplift of existing partners.
2. Research, identify, and cultivate a pipeline of targeted new business that delivers maximum income.
3. Build solicitation and engagement plans for prospects and existing partners.
4. Create and present compelling, persuasive and audience-tailored pitches and proposals to prospective supporters and partners.
5. Create and deliver bespoke stakeholder engagement and fundraising plans to maximise fundraised income from partners and promote repeat giving.
6. To lead on and deliver excellent account management and stewardship of existing supporters and partners.
7. Work with the Director of Fundraising to develop and deliver a long-term corporate fundraising strategy.
8. Assist in the preparation and delivery of budgets, annual targets and KPIs.
9. Report on New Business and corporate partnerships pipeline and performance.
10. Work closely with the volunteering team to identify and provide volunteering opportunities for corporate partners.
11. Work closely with appropriate services team and Finance team to prepare budgets for corporate funding proposals and applications.
12. Ensure that accurate and timely reports and updates are created and sent to all Corporate Foundations, meeting their reporting criteria.
13. Organise and support engagement and stewardship events to engage partners and prospects with the work of the charity.
14. Support the Community Team to grow local business income.
Other
1. Line management of Corporate Fundraiser.
2. Assist the Director of Fundraising as required.
3. Ensure regulatory compliance with internal policy and external legislation, practices and policies, including GDPR.
4. Maintain accurate up to date supporter records and data on the CRM system (Sales Force) – training will be given.
5. Attend meetings, conferences and events pertinent to corporate fundraising and other relevant sources of funding.
6. Attend networking events representing Charlie House.
7. Maintain up to date sector knowledge and skills.

Key Internal Contacts
The role sits within the Fundraising and Marcomms team.
The post holder will be a member of the Fundraising and Marcomms Management Team (FMMT), led by the Director of Fundraising.
The post holder will work collaboratively across departments including but not restricted to Community and Events fundraising, Grants & Trusts, Marcomms, Services, Volunteering, Finance, and the Chief Executive Officer.
Financial Dimension
1. The post holder will be responsible for delivering agreed income targets annually.
2. Delivery of personal objectives and achievement of outcomes and key performance indicators.
3. Supporting the development and implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy, and the wider fundraising and marcomms strategy.
Other Considerations
1. You may be required to occasionally work out with normal office hours to attend meetings or events. You may also be required to travel throughout the North-east although expenses are covered and time off in lieu is given where possible.
2. Promotion of Charlie House is an integral part of the role, and as such, you may be required to feature in our magazine, articles, website and social media.
Essential Experience
1. 2-5 years’ experience of working in a fundraising environment or business development, customer focused or sales role where comparable skills can be used to engage with corporate supporters and prospects.
2. Previous experience of writing and delivering compelling applications, pitches and/or proposals that are in line with the charity’s strategy and meets the brief of prospective corporate partners or supporters.
3. Proven track record of delivering upon financial targets.

Desirable Knowledge and Experience
1. Experience of delivering charitable income through the development of fundraising partnerships and relationships.

3. Knowledge and understanding of the legal and compliance aspects of corporate partnerships.
4. Experience of budgeting and financial management.
Qualifications
1. Equivalent work experience.
2. Full UK driving licence (with access to use of a car).
