In a nutshell: We are looking for someone who has plenty of energy, a desire to grow and an interest in working in a highly varied, exciting management consultancy
What: We are looking for a Junior Consultant to join our Hampshire-based team - someone who can support our senior consultants on a range of projects and programmes that are implemented virtually, in the UK and across the world. Initially this will be a mix of project management, assisting and contributing at client events, research and content development, materials and presentations creation, core admin and client management. Longer term, we are looking to grow someone to the point where they can manage smaller projects themselves and facilitate sessions with clients.
Our client-base is highly varied. You will be working with organisations such as Selfridges, Costain, the BBC, Scottish Water and The Institute of Physics. For these, and many other organisations we provide a wide range of services - culture audit/change, leadership development, team development, change management, digital content, coaching, internal communication support, event support - all of which you will be involved in.
Core skills: we recognise this is an entry point for someone into consulting, and we are happy to talk to people who have the below, but not necessarily in the same professional environment. It may be that you are a graduate looking for a first role in this field, or someone who would like to advance their skills and experience in a different direction:
* Good written and spoken English language articulatio n - you will be developing materials and presenting to our clients
* Confident to talk to mixed groups of professionals - we would be looking to quickly develop your ability to present some of our content
* Strong problem solving skills / ethos - no two projects are the same, and we have to constantly find new solutions to novel requirements
* Interest in the people sciences and practical application - much of our work is applied psychology, and we need someone who is fired up by this
* Flexibility - we deliver across the world, so ability to travel and be flexible around working hours and location is important
* Technically adept - we create a range of digital content for our work - you don't have to know how, but you should be keen to learn
* Degree in a relevant subject - this is not essential, but would be helpful for you, particularly if you are looking to professionalise your qualifications - Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology etc
Additional requirements: to ensure you can learn from our team, travel effectively and work with us across the world:
* Local to North Hampshire - whilst the job offers flex in terms of remote working, this role will need to be mostly based in our office when not out with clients.
* Full driving licence - our office is not well served by public transport, and some of our client work will require you to drive to venues. Therefore, access to a car will also be needed
* Right to work in the UK - as a small company, we do not have the capability to sponsor overseas workers or apply for visas, so you will need to either be a UK resident or already hold the required documentation to work in this country without an expiration date
The role will grow with the person, and will be an amazing learning experience for anyone that's looking to work in the areas of leadership, communications, change management, culture change and team development.
