Grade and salary: Main Scale / Upper Pay Scale + TLR 2C (£8,318 per annum)

The School
The Manor Academy has an excellent reputation for its high standards of teaching, student behaviour and academic achievement. Ofsted recognised the journey we have been on when grading us as a “good” school, citing that the quality of education has been transformed since the previous inspection.
The Role
We are seeking to appoint a full time permanent Head of Department to effectively lead and manage our Physical Education Faculty. The role will be responsible for improving teaching and learning within the department, developing staff in their team and developing the PE curriculum across the school.
The Person
The successful candidate will be a positive and impactful leader, with a proven track record of improving teaching and learning. Experience of managing people is essential, as well as experience of using data to inform planning, target setting and securing improvement.
