Position: HR Business Partner Location: Peterborough (With Hybrid Working) Salary Guide: £50,000 - £60,000 Plus Car/Allowance and Excellent Package Our client is a leading Engineering Contractor which operates throughout the UK delivering projects within the water sector and they have a new opportunity for an HR Business Partner for their offices/projects in the Anglian Water region. This is hybrid position, based from their office in Peterborough for 2-3 days per week and will be supporting a Strategic Alliance for Anglian Water's largest capital programme to deliver circa £9bn of projects over the next 5 years. The HRBP delivers excellence through alignment to business goals, creating and delivering people strategies, whilst always championing and role modelling their values. HRBPs possess a blend of strategic thinking, stakeholder management and commercial acumen, together with a deep understanding of how to balance business growth with a nurturing, caring and inclusive workplace. Key responsibilities: Integrate as a key member of the Leadership Team, providing challenge, guidance and coaching to the Directors and their teams. Develop, manage, and keep a resource plan to support significant growth. Work closely with business leaders, partner companies and recruitment teams to ensure proactive and effective resource planning. Working in collaboration with the Partner HRBP's, implement HR processes and practices whilst identifying, managing and mitigating people risks from both an employment law and engagement perspective. Lead any organisation design activities through effective use of organisational design principles Work with the wider Anglian Water (AW) People team and business stakeholders to drive the delivery of AW's HR employee lifecycle activities (e.g. compensation cycle, performance management cycle, employee relations, engagement etc) Constantly bring insights (facts/data) and ideas which challenge the thinking of the BU Director and their team about how they could deploy, motivate, and organise their people resources differently to improve employee productivity, customer service and financial and operational performance. Brings a proactive and analytical approach: able to view the Business objectively, to provide a clear analysis, backed by evidence, of the strengths and weaknesses of the BU compared with our competitors (both within the water industry and beyond), and identify what needs changing to help the BU achieve their goals. Regularly horizon scan external organisations and introduce innovative, progressive, inclusive best practice where appropriate. HRBPs will support delivery of a portfolio of work across the People Strategy and associated plans to work across the broader business to deliver projects and initiatives in relation to key people priorities This role is a key leadership role, working collaboratively both across the business unit and across wider organisation to deliver strategies to create a successful, safe, productive and high performing business. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Educated to degree level or equivalent in an HR related discipline. Evidence of a commitment to CPD CIPD Qualifications Proven experience as an initiative-taking, commercial and engaging HRBP Takes a dynamic approach to work, displaying a high degree of curiosity and proactivity, collaborating with the team and senior leaders. Ability to build and maintain core business relationships with key stakeholders Understanding and experience of manpower planning, resourcing. benchmarking and metric delivery Experience in an Engineering / Construction environment (Desirable)
