We are looking to recruit a Senior Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic Acute Inpatient Therapy Team at Poole Hospital, UHD.We are offering a full time or part time position.
Within the acute setting the acute therapy team assess and manage patients that present in the acute medical unit, surgical wards, respiratory and general medical wards and oncology. There will be opportunity to rotate wards areas. As a team we are passionate in ensuring that any adults presenting to our acute hospital receives the highest quality care from clinicians with a holistic and rehabilitative approach.
You will work alongside qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver combined therapy treatment programmes, support discharge planning for inpatients, and undertake essential non-clinical roles to support the smooth running of the service.

To be successful in this post, you will have:
• Previous employment in a health or social care setting (or equivalent) in a care/ facilitation/ support role
• A GCSE (or equivalent) pass mark in English
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• An ability to work independently within a supportive environment
• Excellent personal organisational skills including time management
